Our Story

We're Angie and Chryssie, two sisters who grew up here on Reynard Street in Coburg.

When we were little, across the road there used to be a fruit + veg shop, a milk bar (which got heartbreakingly destroyed) and now there are two shopfronts left – and we got the keys to one!

Starting up Two Franks is fulfilling a 30+ year dream to create a place for locals to meet and come together, a place where we can share all the delicious things we love.

Why Two Franks?

202 Reynard Street has been a butcher shop for a long time. A really long time.

When our family first arrived in the neighbourhood, the butcher across the road was named Frank.

Sixteen years ago, he finished up and handed the keys over to the Frank that many locals remember and know so well, who very deservingly retired at the end of 2021.

So, while we've been here, there's not just been one Frank across the road, but two Franks.

And our new little name was born.

We are so keen to preserve and respect the history of our local area and weave that into everything we do here at Two Franks.

We love that we have the opportunity to educate a whole new generation of West Coburgians on the area's past.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Coburg, and pay respect to their Elders past and present.
